The contents of this two-record set have previously been release in two forms: as the double album titled "Beginnings" (SD 2-805) and as two individual albums titled "The Allman Brothers Band" (SD 33-308) and "Idlewild South" (SD 33-342)

Tracks A1 to B3 recorded at Label-264584.
Tracks C1 to D3 recorded at Label-269412, Label-273895, and Label-274249.

Etched "T" in the runouts denotes a Label-403953 pressing.

Runouts are etched with the exception of the following which are stamped: STERLING (all variants), Λ and C (variants 2 and 3), and D (variant 2).

Release has the third Capricorn Records labels that started in 1974 with the Capricorn goat facing to the right.

Release comes with generic Capricorn Records paper inner sleeves with the following printed at bottom of one side:
